Joel Boyd is a television writer, and producer dedicated to delivering innovation and creating a positive production environment. He is known for his work on The Many Saints of Newark (2021), History of Swear Words (2021) and Hot Date (2017). Now with the Walt Disney Company, he has also had stints at Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+ and Jim Henson Studios

Mr. Boyd previously performed as a stand-up comedian, with sketch and improv comedy performances at venues including The Laugh Factory, Second City, Zanies, The Comedy Bar, iO Theater, and The Annoyance Theatre.

A graduate of Columbia University, Mr. Boyd received a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Management.
