Hayden M. Greene, “Brooklyn’s Favorite Polymath”, is the Associate Dean of Students and Director of the Intercultural Center at Marymount Manhattan College. He has dedicated his career to developing both student leaders and colleagues.
Mr. Greene was also the founding Director of Multicultural Affairs at Manhattan College as well as the former Director of Leadership Development at Barnard College of Columbia University. During his time at Barnard, a small liberal arts college for women, Hayden developed programs that were transformative for his students and whose participants went on to be part of the student leadership on campus.
Hayden has been dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion work throughout his career both professionally and as a podcaster. His work at Manhattan College garnered the Center a regional award from ACUI, the Association for College Unions International and Hayden has been individually awarded the Revis Cox Award, a national honor, by the same organization. His work showcases artists from underrepresented communities and identities, as well as provides training campus-wide, seeking to broaden the conversation around identity and bias. He has a BBA in Human Resources from Baruch College and a master’s degree in counseling in Higher Education from Montclair State University.
Hayden is also an award-winning photographer and author. He is a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma, lives in Brooklyn, NY, and is married with two daughters and a cat named Puppy.
