Martin L. Edelman is one of the founders of the Jackie Robinson Foundation. A former attorney for Jackie Robinson, he is a tireless advocate for the Foundation and its mission. He is one of only five people to have received JRF’s Founders Award.
Mr. Edelman has more than 50 years of experience with a concentration on large complex international real estate, including the hospitality sector, corporate mergers and acquisitions, transactions and advising on complex international disputes.
His work, while focused originally in the United States, has for the last 40 years expanded to Europe, England, Canada, Mexico, Japan, China, the Middle East and Latin America. Edelman is an Advisor to Mubadala and The Related Companies. He is Executive Chairman of Manchester Life, a real estate development company focused on residential housing in Manchester, England and General Counsel of G42, an Abu Dhabi Company.
His board affiliations include: Equity Commonwealth, Global Foundries, Manchester City, New York City & Melbourne City football clubs, the Jackie Robinson Foundation and The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
A graduate of Princeton University and Columbia Law School, Mr. Edelman has been recognized for his work with the United States Military and military families by being awarded the Department of the Army Public Service Award.
