Lara Abrash is the Chair of Deloitte US, the largest professional services organization in the United States with more than 170,000 professionals. Lara was elected into this role in June 2023 after serving four years as the Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte & Touche LLP, where she was responsible for overseeing the US Audit & Assurance (A&A) business. Lara is a member of Deloitte Global’s Board of Directors and Chair of the Deloitte Foundation, which supports education through a variety of initiatives designed to help develop the talent of the future and promote excellence in teaching, research, and curriculum innovation.
In her role as the Chair of Deloitte US, Lara is responsible for leading the board of directors, governing all aspects of the organization. Lara has served in a number of leadership roles during her career at Deloitte, while also maintaining significant client responsibilities for some of the organization’s largest and most complex clients. Her leadership philosophy is based on her deep understanding of multinational clients in various industries, her leadership roles and experiences, and her passion for advancing the profession.
Lara’s leadership extends to her community and other important causes. Lara’s passion for sports and leadership development come together through her involvement with the Jackie Robinson Foundation. She is a Trustee on the Financial Accounting Foundation (FAF) Board, the parent organization of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), and the Government Accounting Standards Board (GASB). Lara is a licensed certified public accountant in New York and New Jersey and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University at Albany, State University of New York, and a Master’s of Business Administration from Baruch College.
