Dr. Jesmond Fair ’10

Assistant Professor, Psychiatry & Behaviorial Sciences

Dr. Jesmond Fair is an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Morehouse School of Medicine and Student Health & Wellness Center. He completed his doctoral training at the University of Georgia, earning a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, as well as a Master of Education in Professional Counseling from the same institution. His research focuses on the impact of religion on the intersecting identities of Black gay Christian men, reflecting a broader commitment to culturally responsive mental health care and identity-affirming clinical practice.

He further developed his clinical expertise during his psychology internship at Texas A&M University’s Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) and later served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Outpatient Behavioral Health at Grady through the Emory University School of Medicine.

Dr. Fair earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Music, from the University of Alabama.

He is an alumnus of the Jackie Robinson Foundation’s Scholars Program, a JRF Extra Innings Fellow, and is a member of the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education.
