Having spent the last 25 years in a financial aid, Brian’s experience includes working at multiple diverse institutions, a non-profit organization that provides training and support to financial aid professionals, as well as financial aid consulting. Beyond his role at Duke, he has held leadership positions in several professional organizations, including the College Board, and the Eastern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators EASFAA, where he was president, secretary, and held several committee chair positions. He served a two-year term on the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrator’s (NASFAA) Board of Directors as a regional representative.
Originally from south Jersey, Brian is a graduate of Elizabethtown College (PA), Brian is married, and is deeply attuned to the student perspective, having recently navigated the college-going process with his son and daughter. He loves his family and the Philadelphia Eagles, usually in that order. Brian is a former president of the Eastern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and has served on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators. He serves on various professional association committees and speaks at financial aid conferences whenever possible.
