The Jackie Robinson Foundation’s Mentoring and Leadership Conference (MLC) is four days of professional developmental workshops, career exploration panels, networking opportunities with a key professionals and leaders across a range of sectors, and cultural and recreational outings for JRF Scholars. It also provides a unique opportunity for JRF sponsors to directly engage with Scholars.
About the Conference
Audience
The audience is comprised of JRF’s 223 college scholarship students attending 102 different colleges and universities across the country. The attendees have strong academic acumen, demonstrated leadership skills, and are pursuing careers in a variety of professional fields.
Breaking Barriers, Empowering Leaders
Inspired by the barrier-breaking legacy of our namesake Jackie Robinson, the 2025 Mentoring and Leadership Conference, Breaking Barriers, Empowering Leaders, will:
- Amplify the ways that JRF Scholars are already utilizing their leadership within their communities,
- Introduce students to industry-leading professionals who are blazing trails and opening doors across multiple fields and sectors, and,
- Provide opportunities for participants to gain knowledge and skills to enhance their leadership capacity, and in turn, inspire their peers and those who come after them.

The 2025 Mentoring and Leadership Conference will return to the Heldrich Hotel and Conference Center in downtown New Brunswick, New Jersey. Just 30 minutes from Newark Liberty International Airport and less than an hour Manhattan, it is in walking distance of a vast array of restaurants, performing arts venues and Rutgers University.
