Since 2004, Della Britton has been President & CEO of the Jackie Robinson Foundation, a national, non-profit organization founded in 1973 to promote education and the values embodied in the life and legacy of sports and civil rights icon Jackie Robinson.

Ms. Britton has led the 49-year-old Jackie Robinson Foundation (JRF) for 18 years and is credited with its exponential growth, transforming JRF’s celebrated scholarship program into what the New York Times has dubbed “one of the best educational efforts [of its kind].” Britton greatly expanded and diversified JRF’s funding base and program offerings, grew its endowment, upgraded its technological capabilities, relocated its New York City headquarters, and increased its national presence. An entertainment sector lawyer and executive for most of her career, before heading JRF, Ms. Britton served as assistant general attorney for the American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., and as president of Hillside Broadcasting, LLC, and AJM Records, LLC. At ABC, Inc., Britton’s team represented the 15 ABC-owned and operated television and radio stations group, advising on state and federal regulatory compliance, litigation matters, and contract negotiation. At Hillside Broadcasting in the late 1980s, she managed a group of two major market television and three major market radio stations, which realized a 400% return after four years when the station group was sold. During her tenure at AJM Records, the company expanded into the pop music genre, supplementing the label’s prior concentration on jazz artists, producing both sustained earnings and a Grammy win for singer and songwriter “Ashanti” who was signed to the label.

Ms. Britton served on the board of directors of Legendary Entertainment, LLC, and, always active in community service, she was a member of the New York Times Institutional Task Force on Race Relations, convened by Arthur Ochs Sulzberger in the 1990s, and a director of many non-profit organizations, including Inwood House (NYC), the Dance Theatre of Harlem (NYC), the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law (Wash, D.C.), the Washington Ballet (Wash, D.C.) and the Dwight-Englewood School (Englewood, NJ).

Ms. Britton is a graduate of Princeton University and Columbia Law School. She has received numerous honors, including a Recognition of Leadership tribute in 2013 from Condoleezza Rice, 66th U.S. Secretary of State; a Certificate of Appreciation in 2012 from the United States Central Intelligence Agency, under Director David H. Petraeus; and a Commendation for Distinguished Leadership in 2008 from William C. Thompson, Jr., former Comptroller of the City of New York.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Hogan worked as a litigation associate at Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP covering white-collar, insurance, and complex commercial cases and trials. During that period, she dedicated significant time to pro bono cases, primarily representing immigrants seeking asylum. During an externship, Ms. Hogan spent six months working for MFY Legal Services where she provided legal assistance to low-income New Yorkers to resolve issues in the areas of housing and foreclosure.

Ms. Hogan serves as a member of the Advisory Board for the Center on Race, Law & Justice at Fordham University School of Law and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund’s New York Advisory Council. She earned a BA in African American Studies and Psychology from Yale University in 2003 and a JD from Fordham University School of Law in 2006.
Kwame Onwuachi

Kwame Onwuachi is a James Beard Award-winning chef, and author of the critically acclaimed memoir “Notes from a Young Black Chef,” which is being adapted into a feature film by A24. Mr. Onwuachi’s resume is incomparable as he has been named one of Food & Wine’s Best New Chefs, Esquire Magazine’s 2019 Chef of the Year, and is a 30 Under 30 honoree by both Zagat and Forbes. Raised in New York City, Nigeria, and Louisiana, Mr. Onwuachi was first exposed to cooking by his mother, in the family’s modest Bronx apartment. He took that spark of passion and turned it into a career. From toiling in the bowels of oil cleanup ships to working at some of the best restaurants in the world, he has a dynamic collection of skills and experiences. Mr. Onwuachi trained at the Culinary Institute of America in New York City and has opened five restaurants before the age of thirty; including the groundbreaking Afro-Caribbean restaurant, Kith/Kin, in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Onwuachi appeared as a judge on season 18 of Top Chef in April 2021. He first appeared as a contestant on the show in season 13.

Mr. Onwuachi currently serves as Food & Wine’s executive producer. In this recently appointed role, Kwame collaborated on big brand moments and events including the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, where he hosted cooking demonstrations and events. He also serves in the new role of Food & Wine’s pro ambassador to the hospitality industry and creator of “The Family Reunion: Presented by Kwame Onwuachi,” an annual multi-day event that takes place in Middleburg, Virginia and celebrates diversity in the hospitality community. In September 2021, Mr. Onwuachi hosted the esteemed James Beard Awards in Chicago.

Next up, Mr. Onwuachi will be releasing his first-ever cookbook “My America: Recipes from a Young Black Chef,” which will be released in May 2022.

Doneka R. Scott is the vice chancellor and dean for the Division of Academic and Student Affairs at NC State University. She leads a division dedicated to preparing students to succeed academically, professionally and personally, to embrace a commitment to lifelong learning, and to become informed, engaged, and productive citizens.

Dr. Scott joined NC State in 2021 after serving as the associate vice provost and associate dean for student success, then as the vice provost for undergraduate education and student success at the University of Oregon. There she was responsible for the overall strategy and execution of undergraduate education and student success efforts on campus. She worked to eliminate institutional barriers that prohibit students from being successful and inhibit them from completing a degree program in a timely manner.

A toxicologist and emergency medicine practitioner by training, Scott received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She received a Master of Arts in higher and postsecondary education, also from the University of Michigan. She also holds a secondary appointment as a professor of practice in the Department of Educational Leadership, Policy and Human Development in the NC State College of Education.

Scott currently serves on the boards of the Reinvention Collaborative and the Eugene Symphony Orchestra. Her professional affiliations have included the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, American Educational Research Association, Association for the Study of Higher Education, American Pain Society, American Pharmacists Association, Minnesota Pharmacists Association, Pi Lambda Theta International Honors Society, Association of Black Women in Higher Education, and the League of American Orchestras.

Bryanna Brown joined Corporate & Investment Banking (“CIB”) after completing two successful summer internships. Her background includes work in Municipal Sales and Trading, Technology, Media and Telecom Investment Banking and Public Finance Investment Banking.

Mrs. Brown is a Banking COO Team Strategy Consultant in Charlotte, North Carolina. In her role, Mrs. Brown gains experience driving project and process implementation across the Banking line of business. She also engages with a variety of team members to support the strategic direction of the CIB Banking organization. Most recently Mrs. Brown has enjoyed being a co-chair on the Well-Being Taskforce, an organization creating ideas and resources for team members to focus on wellness during the work from home environment. As a graduate of the inaugural Sophomore Summer Investment Banking Analyst Program, Mrs. Brown also enjoys mentoring and recruiting talented students for CIB.

Originally from Charlotte, Mrs. Brown is a graduate of Wake Forest University with a B.A. in Politics and International Affairs. Mrs. Brown also maintains Series 52 and Series 63 securities licenses. Outside of the firm, Mrs. Brown works with organizations, including her high school alma mater East Mecklenburg, to impact the Charlotte area in a positive way.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo & Co, Ms. Davis has built a 20+ year career in financial services at JPMorgan Chase in the Corporate Investment Bank in New York and London and most notably established Advancing Black Pathways as the Program Manager, leading their strategy to help more Black Americans achieve economic success.

Ms. Davis is a graduate of the State University of New York at Albany where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a double minor in Business and Spanish.

Damon Ford is a Senior Communications Consultant within Communications & Brand Management. He provides strategic executive communications support and consultation to senior leaders within Consumer & Small Business Banking Operations (CSBB Ops).

Previously, he provided internal communications and media support for other lines-of-business at the bank, including Retirement, Insurance and Wealth Management. In addition to his daily work, Mr. Ford is the chair of the Charlotte chapter Black & African American Connection Employee Resource Network (ERN) at Wells Fargo. He is also a member of the Veterans and Asian Connection ERNs. He has been with Wells Fargo since 2006.

Prior to joining the bank, Mr. Ford spent nearly seven years as a Media Relations Supervisor and spokesperson for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) as well as Guilford County Schools (Greensboro, N.C.). Furthermore, he has served as a journalist for The Chronicle Newspaper (Winston-Salem, N.C.)

He is currently an Advisory Committee member for the non-profit organization GardHouse, and previously served as a volunteer reader at Bruns Avenue Elementary as well as the Freedom School Partners’ summer program. Additionally, he has been a Board member for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Athletic League and KIPP: Charlotte as well as served as a past PTA President of First Ward Elementary.

She manages several key risk programs and initiatives in Commercial Banking including, Return to Office, Role-based access, and special projects. Ms. Lindsey is responsible for assessing risk exposure and developing strategic solutions across the Commercial Banking platform.

Ms. Lindsey interacts with various levels of leadership to promote sufficient planning for the ‘unexpected’ and the execution of those plans when emergencies arise. She consults with business partners and determines the best way to address record retention needs and to document business functions in process maps.

Aminata Cisse, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist, who provides personally curated care for adult patients, 18-64 years of age. Dr. Cisse specializes in treating a variety of psychiatric conditions including, but not limited to, the following disorders: depression, insomnia, mood disorders, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, and PTSD. She establishes a constructive therapeutic relationship by using her knowledge of psychopharmacology (e.g. medication management) and brief therapeutic modalities to achieve the best outcomes for each individual.

A magna cum laude graduate of Spelman College, Dr. Cisse received her doctoral degree from the State University of New York/Downstate Medical Center, completed her residency at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and a psychiatry fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania School of Public Services.

Dr. Michael G. Selders is an alumnus of Southern University and A&M College of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Loyola University of Chicago, Illinois. He earned a Master of Arts Degree in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Studies, and a Doctoral Degree in Counseling Psychology. Dr. Selders is a licensed psychologist, and he serves as the Chief of Psychology Services at Parkland Hospital, and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Selders also manages a very successful private practice in the heart of South Dallas, where he provides psychological assessment, therapy, and consultation to children, adolescents, adults, schools, and residents in long-term treatment facilities.

Dr. Selders is an active member of the Association of Black Psychologists (ABPsi), American Psychological Association (APA), Southwestern Scholar Advisory Committee of the Jackie Robinson Foundation, Coalition for African-Centered Rites-of-Passage, NTU Rites-of-Passage, Project West Africa, and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Dr. Selders travels extensively, serving as keynote speaker in numerous mental health conferences, symposiums, and seminars presenting on a wide variety of mental health topics.

A major part of his personal and professional development and identity has been guided by the African proverb, “I am because we are, and because we are, therefore, I am.” He serves as a board and advisory board member to several local, national, and international non-profit mental health organizations.

Dr. Selders and his family are active members of North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship, where he serves in the Deacon, Men’s, Homeless, and Youth Ministries.

Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, IL., the importance of education was instilled in Rachel Evans by both her family and the unashamedly black/unapologetically Christian church she grew up in. Her church home introduced her to HBCUs and helped her find the perfect fit at Hampton University, where she received her B.S. and Master’s in Business Administration. She was fortunate to receive the Jackie Robinson Foundation (JRF) scholarship, and the Extra Innings scholarship for her master’s program, to support her both financially and in leadership development throughout her education. Deloitte, one of the Big four professional services firms in the country, was named her JRF sponsor.

Ms. Evans sees her paid internship at Deloitte as an additional benefit of her scholarship. She served as a marketing intern in Chicago every summer of her undergraduate and graduate career. She joined Deloitte’s marketing team full-time post-graduation in 2012 and currently leads marketing for Deloitte’s MADE (Making Accounting Diverse and Equitable) commitment, launched in June of 2021. In this role, she combines her passion for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives with her skills in marketing to promote programs targeted towards Black and Hispanic/Latinx individuals interested in joining and excelling in the accounting profession. She’s previously served in marketing roles at Deloitte supporting financial advisory services, consumer and life sciences industries, private companies and private equity firms, and general marketing operations for webcasts and email marketing.

Ms. Evans currently lives in Charlotte, NC and enjoys spending time with family and friends, while staying active via cycling, practicing yoga and tennis. She serves in the Charlotte Chapter of the National Hampton Alumni Association and is a member of the W.I.S.H. (Women Inspiring Strength and Hope) Society for Make-A-Wish Central and Western North Carolina.

Joel Boyd is a television writer, and producer dedicated to delivering innovation and creating a positive production environment. He is known for his work on The Many Saints of Newark (2021), History of Swear Words (2021) and Hot Date (2017). Now with the Walt Disney Company, he has also had stints at Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+ and Jim Henson Studios

Mr. Boyd previously performed as a stand-up comedian, with sketch and improv comedy performances at venues including The Laugh Factory, Second City, Zanies, The Comedy Bar, iO Theater, and The Annoyance Theatre.

A graduate of Columbia University, Mr. Boyd received a bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Management.
Devin Cunningham

East Oakland native Devin Cunningham will play Jeremiah Brooks, the inspirational and religious mentor of Michaela Holloway in Reckless Behavior The Series. Cunningham recently worked with Pear Theatre in Mountain View on Lynn Nottage’s Sweat. He described the experience as a fun and intense play to work on. Earlier this year, he worked with the African American Shakespeare Company on their production of Leslie Lee’s Black Eagles. It was a privilege for Cunningham to honor the Tuskeegee Airman through this work. He labeled it as one of his favorite projects he’s worked on outside of Reckless Behavior.

Mr. Cunningham was inspired to act from watching red carpets as a kid. When he was about seven or eight, he would watch award shows and see how beautiful and elegant the men and women were and from that he concluded that he wanted to be an actor. In elementary school he participated in the same play every year, the Joy Story. In 7th grade he got the lead and it was everything to him. According to Cunningham “I didn’t pick up acting again until I was 18 at Chabot College and discovered there that this was the career path I wanted to take for my life. It felt like the right choice then and hasn’t felt wrong since.”

Aurelia Michael was born and raised in the Bronx, New York, where she began her artistic training at the Dance Theatre of Harlem. She continued studying dance throughout college, earning Dance and Business Management degrees from the University of Maryland, College Park, as well as attending the Fashion Institute of Technology for a Certification in Image Consulting.

Jumping right into the professional dance world after college, her credits include The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay, Netflix, GAP, Smirnoff, BET's Black Girls Rock with Janelle Monae, The Today Show, and the international tour “Every Little Step”. In 2018, Ms. Michael also ventured into the world of musical theater, and her credits now include Legally Blonde: The Musical, Ghost: The Musical, In The Heights, and the Original Broadway Cast of SUMMER: The Donna Summer Musical. Most recently, she was the Associate Choreographer for the Miami New Drama's "A Wonderful World," a world-premiere musical about jazz legend and singular American icon Louis Armstrong.

Since 2011, Ms. Michael has been the Founder and Lead Coach for Aurelia Michael Living. Through AML, she focuses on helping people in the entertainment industry gain and sustain confidence to produce continuous results. She loves to work with clients and companies via private coaching, group workshops, and seminars.

A Jackie Robinson Foundation / Bill Dickey Scholarship Association scholar raised in Seattle and educated at Yale University, Ms. Winslow dedicated time as a professional golfer, TV personality and fitness industry thought leader before rocking the mic full time. She was the first African American female varsity golfer to compete in the Ivy League and, in 2006, became the fourth African American to ever compete in LPGA Tour history. An elite athlete, Ms. Winslow trained with Olympic Hall of Fame Track & Field Coach Brooks Johnson and was invited to join the USA Bobsled and Skeleton Federation in preparation for the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

As an artist inspired by movement and kinetic storytelling, her innovative wellness efforts have been recognized globally with features by the New York Times, SXSW, CNN, and Golf Digest with Forbes calling her work the “Smartest, Sexiest Workout Videos Ever." Mr. Stewart's career has taken a winding path through the various disciplines of the wide world of operations management. He began his career as a rotational merchandising trainee at Dick's Sporting Goods learning the ins and outs of how to get products from the conceptual stage and onto store shelves. He parlayed that experience into a 7-year stint primarily as a warehouse operations manager at McMaster-Carr Supply Company, an independent industrial supply company, through which he gained a world-class education on how to drive customer-centered operational efficiency. After McMaster-Carr, Mr. Stewart spent two years running the Rides businesses in Uber's Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee, and other southeastern US markets - a role that was still very much about logistics, but focused on moving people instead of warehouse boxes. Finally, he bridged his operational experience and his love of marketing and branding to become Harry's Senior Brand Operations Manager, his current role. In this role, Mr. Stewart is responsible for helping the 80+ employee Harry's US marketing team to work more efficiently and effectively together via communications and process audits, and creating tools and other infrastructure to aid in information flow. He also serves as a key cross-functional partner between the Harry's US team and the rest of the Harry's organization, helping to quarterback company-wide projects to drive process efficiency throughout the organization. In addition to his frontline responsibilities, Mr. Stewart serves as a co-lead for African Ancestry Collective, the Harry's ERG focused on those who identify as having heritage from the African diaspora, as well as a member of the company's D&I Council.

Mr. Stewart recently resettled in Pennsylvania and purchased his first home in Phoenixville with his beautiful wife and rescue pup named Scooby. In his spare time he enjoys learning the ropes of homeownership, spending time with his family and friends, and chatting about the Philadelphia Eagles and other Philly sports teams. Tara Graham, MPH, is JDI’s National Program Director and is based in its Washington, D.C. office. She provides training and technical assistance to corrections agencies on preventing and responding to sexual abuse in detention. She has been working on the development and implementation of the Prison Rape Elimination Act standards for more than 15 years, including at the National PREA Resource Center. Ms. Graham’s research experience includes interviewing homeless and runaway youth and incarcerated women about issues including drug use, sexual behaviors, and experience with physical and sexual violence. Previously, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Tanzania working on HIV/AIDS prevention with an emphasis on women and youth.

Sharaé Moultrie is a JRF alumna, class of 2012. She currently serves as the Senior Manager of Foundation Relations at the Robin Hood Foundation. In this capacity, she helps to manage its poverty-fighting fundraising efforts, specifically to expand and deepen Robin Hood’s relationships with foundations and corporate funders.

Prior to joining Robin Hood, Ms. Moultrie worked in various positions within the Private Bank and Corporate & Investment Bank at JPMorgan Chase & Co. She is also an actor and singer, having performed on stages across the globe. Passionate about the transformative power of the arts, Ms. Moultrie is a board member of Rosie’s Theater Kids, an organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children through performing arts. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and International Business. She lives in Harlem, NY.

With a relentless dedication to improving the lives of others, Nichol Whiteman is the Chief Executive Officer of the award-winning Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF). Under her leadership, LADF tackles the most pressing problems facing Los Angeles with a mission to improve education, health care, homelessness and social justice for all Angelenos. During her tenure, LADF launched incredibly impactful programming including Dodgers RBI, a youth development initiative serving more than 10,000 youth today.

As part of LADF’s commitment to Southern California communities, the Foundation completed its 50th Dodgers Dreamfield, created a benefit gala, and increased fundraising by 1,000% with Ms. Whiteman at the helm. Direct programming is only the beginning. she also advocates for LADF to be a strong charitable partner for nonprofits within the Los Angeles community through strategic grantmaking that builds capacity and reach. Collectively, Ms. Whiteman has cultivated partnerships that have resulted in more than $32 million in community investment in the form of direct programs and grant-making, impacting over 2.3 million children.

With a degree in Economics from Spelman College, she was the first in her family to graduate from college and has a passion for education, equity, and diversity. Her unwavering dedication resulted in positions in investment management and publishing before beginning a philanthropic career as VP, Western Region of the Jackie Robinson Foundation. As a child of Jamaican immigrants “in search of a dream," she frequently highlights the power of diversity in advocating for resources and opportunities for marginalized populations.

As a Black woman in Major League Baseball, Ms. Whiteman understands the importance of access. She uses her resources to open doors and opportunities for youth from all backgrounds. In addition to her professional achievements, she mentors countless men and women. With a mighty team that shares her commitment to advocacy, Whiteman aims to deepen the impact of LADF programs and enhance the Foundation’s visibility and philanthropic influence across Los Angeles.

Dr. Mark Lee is an associate professor in the biology department at Spelman and is committed to STEM education for underrepresented groups, especially women scientists. After earning a degree in chemistry from Morris Brown College, Lee attended Clark Atlanta University to complete his Ph.D. in biochemistry while conducting research at Morehouse School of Medicine. He continued his career as a scientist at Emory University School of Medicine in the Winship Cancer Center (1996-1999) before joining the research faculty in the pathology and laboratory medicine department (1999-2002) where his basic science research was funded by the National Institutes of Health and the National Cancer Institute.

Dr. Lee joined the Spelman biology department in 2002, and he served as chair from 2009 – 2016. In the science education community at large, Lee has collaborated with the Emory Fellowships in Research and Science Teaching (FIRST) Program, Albany State University, Michigan State University, Atlanta Public Schools, the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), Project Kaleidoscope (PKAL), New York University Faculty Resource Network, Quality Education for Minorities (QEM) Network, Stanford Asilomar Conference for Online Education, and the National Academies Summer Institutes for Science Education. His science education research is currently funded by the National Science Foundation, and he is a member of the American Association of Physics Teachers, and the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

In 2020, he joined the third class of the Partnership for Undergraduate Life Sciences Education fellowship. PULSE, which was launched in 2012 by the National Science Foundation, the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and the National Institute for General Medical Sciences, works to help college professors improve the study of life sciences at colleges throughout the United States.

Angelia Gordon Neal currently serves as Senior Management Analyst and Chief of the Management Policy and Analysis Branch at the National Eye Institute, one of the 27 institutes and centers at the U.S. National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Her office is responsible for providing direction and oversight for performance management, standards of ethic conduct, and other administrative policy and compliance issues. Ms. Neal joined the National Institutes of Health as a United States Presidential Management Fellow in 2000. The highly competitive Presidential Management Fellows program was established by Executive Order in 1977 by President Jimmy Carter to attract to the Federal service outstanding individuals from a wide variety of academic disciplines that have an interest in, and commitment to, excellence in the leadership and management of public policies and programs.

Ms. Neal earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern University and A&M College and a Masters degree from Colorado State University. She is an active member of her church and several professional and civic organizations, including the Iota Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She currently resides in Mitchellville, Maryland, with her husband Arthur Neal.

She has 15 years of experience in fast moving consumer goods, working for multinational food & beverage companies like General Mills and PepsiCo in research & development and factory engineering roles and now working in personal care R&D for Unilever. Ms. Yizar holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from Brown University and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from the UCLA Anderson School of Business.

She and her husband are proud spoilers of their dog, world travelers and foodies, she is also an avid gardener and aspires to achieve a zero waste-to-landfill household.
