Boeing Safety Protocols

At Boeing, safety is a core value. We are committed to creating a safe, zero-injury environment for our teammates and for visitors to our facilities. This aligns with the proud Boeing tradition of designing and building safe products for our customers. We want your visit to be safe.

Some of the practices are common sense, such as using handrails on stairs. Others— such as using cell phones only when standing still—may be new to you. They all have one thing in common—they’re for your safety and the safety of those around you.

General Site Requirements

  • Officially issued credentials/badges must be visible at all times.
  • Use of tobacco, illegal drugs, alcohol and weapons are prohibited on company property.
  • Photography is not allowed at Boeing South Carolina without a Boeing camera permit.
  • The speed limit is 15 mph on roadways and 10 mph in parking lots.
  • Factory footwear includes closed-toed shoes made of sturdy material, heels less than 2 inches high and base more than 1 square inch, and slip resistant soles at least ¼ inch thick.

Please take time to review the safety practices in the accompanying brochure. Your host will assist you in understanding them.
