- Appropriate attire for your time during the conference (detailed in the guidelines below)

If You Miss Your Flight
You will need to check in for your flight 24 hours before departure and should plan to arrive at the airport at least two hours before departure. If you miss your flight please contact JRF at (646) 989-2781.
Hotel Safety
Keep a close watch on luggage when checking in and out. Use caution when entering your room. Always use the double lock and door chain when both you and your roommate are in the room, especially when sleeping or showering. Make sure any doors to adjoining rooms are locked. Do not leave the room unlocked at any time. Make sure your door closes properly. If you suspect that an unauthorized person has been in your room, notify the front desk immediately. AVOID back entrances between parking lots and hotels. Please cooperate with hotel security and staff.
Room Assignment
You will be assigned a hotel room and roommate upon check-in. Roommate switching or sleeping over in other rooms is prohibited. For security and emergency situations, Students must remain in assigned rooms with assigned roommates. Non-conference guests are not permitted in your hotel rooms. Extra charges to your hotel room (such as dry cleaning and room service) will not be covered by JRF and should be covered with a personal credit card or should not be utilized. You will be responsible for additional charges, including any damage reported to us after your checkout. You are expected to adhere to hotel check-out procedures and vacate your room by 11:00 am on your designated check-out day.
Hotel Staff
We expect you to treat all hotel staff with the same respect you expect to be treated. If there is an issue with a member of the hotel staff or security, please contact Keisha Taffe. If you ask a hotel staff member to assist with packages, or otherwise help you, please show consideration by tipping.
Hotel Common Areas
Students should use proper decorum when in the main lobby. The hotel has the right to evict guests who overstay the time indicated on their confirmations, are unruly, or disruptive. If there is an emergency while in the hotel, please call a JRF staff person FIRST.
Alcohol and Drug Possession or Use
Alcohol, drugs, and the possession of drug paraphernalia is strictly prohibited. Students, including those who are 21 or older, caught buying, drinking, in the possession of, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs at any point during the BEET Conference will be sent home. Further disciplinarian actions will be taken that could result in the termination of status as a JRF Scholar.
