Deland Kamanga is the Group Head for BMO Wealth Management, leading the strategic direction for Private Wealth Canada (BMO Nesbitt Burns and BMO Private Banking), BMO Global Asset Management, BMO InvestorLine and BMO Insurance.

He is a member of BMO’s Executive Committee, serving on the board of InvestorLine, and BMO Capital Markets Corp., and is the President & CEO BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc. Deland is the Supervisor at BMO ChinaCo, where he is responsible for providing independent oversight of the Board of Directors and Senior Management and supervising the bank’s activities in key areas such as corporate governance and strategy development.

Deland is also a Director at the Jackie Robinson Foundation, a member of the SickKids Board of Trustees and SickKids Foundation in Toronto and serves on the Advisory Board of VersiFi (formerly Women in Capital Markets, “WCM”).

He is a proud champion of inclusion serving on the BMO Leadership Committee for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and participates in a variety of BMO’s employee groups, including BMO Black Professionals Network Canada, which he founded as an executive sponsor. In 2021, Deland received the Catalyst Champion Award for his trailblazing work for a more inclusive workplace for women.
He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Western Ontario and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
