Damon Ford is a Senior Communications Consultant within Communications & Brand Management. He provides strategic executive communications support and consultation to senior leaders within Consumer & Small Business Banking Operations (CSBB Ops).
Previously, he provided internal communications and media support for other lines-of-business at the bank, including Retirement, Insurance and Wealth Management. In addition to his daily work, Mr. Ford is the chair of the Charlotte chapter Black & African American Connection Employee Resource Network (ERN) at Wells Fargo. He is also a member of the Veterans and Asian Connection ERNs. He has been with Wells Fargo since 2006.
Prior to joining the bank, Mr. Ford spent nearly seven years as a Media Relations Supervisor and spokesperson for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) as well as Guilford County Schools (Greensboro, N.C.). Furthermore, he has served as a journalist for The Chronicle Newspaper (Winston-Salem, N.C.)
He is currently an Advisory Committee member for the non-profit organization GardHouse, and previously served as a volunteer reader at Bruns Avenue Elementary as well as the Freedom School Partners’ summer program. Additionally, he has been a Board member for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Athletic League and KIPP: Charlotte as well as served as a past PTA President of First Ward Elementary.
Damon Ford resides in the greater Charlotte, N.C. area with his wife. They have two young adult daughters.
