The Jackie Robinson Foundation is sad to announce the passing of long time JRF employee Sheila Sykes following a brief illness. Sheila joined the JRF family in 1994 as an intern and was soon hired full time as Program Associate. For fifteen years, Sheila admirably served as a surrogate mother, mentor, and friend to hundreds of Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholars. Scholars and staff alike were recipients of her kindness, warmth and humility. She will be deeply missed.
